  1. We require a deposit of $500 and a signed copy of this contract to hold the puppy until it is old enough for pickup/shipping, which is usually around 8 weeks of age.  Deposits must be paid by cash, PayPal or US Postal Money Order.
  1. Choice of puppy is determined on a first come (deposit received) first to choose basis. Breeder has first choice.
  1. Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE, unless a puppy is not available within one year.  If you decide you do not want the puppy, you forfeit the deposit.
  1. We are happy to offer ground shipping on our Olde English Bulldogge pups. If shipping is necessary, your total balance owed (including shipping cost) must be received by Brickhouse Bullies by or before your puppy's six week birthday.
All shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility.
  1. Final payment (which includes all shipping costs) will be made in cash, U.S. Postal Service Money Order, or PayPal  BEFORE puppy is released.
  1. In order to ensure proper socialization pups will not be released before they are eight weeks of age. If shipping/pick-up arrangements have not been effected by the time the pups are 10 weeks old, buyer agrees to pay a $35.00 per week boarding charge, plus any other expenses incurred, until the pup is shipped. If puppy has not traveled by the end of the sixteenth week the Buyer forfeits pup and any and all deposits and payments made to date, absent written agreement from the seller.
  1. Breeder reserves the right to refuse or cancel sale of pup to anyone, at anytime, for any reason, for the welfare of any pup. The welfare of the pup will be the first concern of the breeder. No monies will be refunded.
  2. There is no guarantee or warranty that the buyer will be able to show or breed the dog regardless of show or breeding potentials. There is no guarantee as to what size the dog/puppy will be as an adult.

   9.   We, the seller, agree to warranty this puppy for 180 days from the date of pick up/shipping from any life threatening illness that is genetically related. We, the sellers, will replace the defective puppy with a puppy of comparable quality, as determined by the seller, as soon as a comparable puppy becomes available. No monies will be refunded.  Full medical documentation must precede the return of the defective animal. The documentation must explicitly and singularly identify that the cause of the puppy's defect is genetically related and that it is detrimental to the puppy’s long term health, in other words life threatening. The results of this documentation are to be evaluated by a veterinarian of the seller's choosing to confirm and authenticate the results provided by the buyer's veterinarian. The findings and opinions of the seller's veterinarian are to be considered the final and ultimate opinion. All transportation expenses involved in the return of the original puppy as well as the replacement puppy are the responsibility of the buyer. We, the seller, do not agree to compensate the buyer for any veterinarian expenses.
 10.  We, the sellers, offer the buyer the opportunity to have the puppy inspected by a veterinarian of the buyer's choice within 72 hours of the arrival of the puppy. If a genetic condition is found that is life threatening the buyer may return the puppy for a puppy of comparable quality, when a comparable puppy becomes available, as determined by the seller. No monies will be refunded.  The buyer must make the seller aware of this discovery within one (1) week of the date that the buyer receives the puppy. The replacement puppy will be delivered to the buyer only after the defective puppy has been returned, and as soon as a comparable puppy becomes available. All transportation expenses related to the original puppy as well as the replacement puppy are the responsibility of the buyer. The seller does not extend this policy related to common or insignificant or short term conditions. These include, but are not limited to, the presence of common parasites ( round-worms, coccidia, giardia, hookworms, etc.), fleas, entropian, stenotic nares (loud sounding or "snuffling" sound when breathing), retained testicles, cherry eye, small scratches, scrapes or bites from other puppies or coughs that are deemed to be short-term by the veterinarian of the buyers choosing.
There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental or stress factors, such as allergies, kennel cough,  mange (Red Mange, Demodex Mange or any type of mite mange) or other auto-immune disorders that we do not cover.  Mange is a multifactor genetic disease that can be transmitted in a recessive manner. There is much dispute between experts as to the differing specific causes of mange including environment, stress and nutrition, therefore we cannot guarantee against it.   Skin allergies or an Umbilical Hernia- (an "outie" belly button) are not covered.  We do not breed dogs with undesirable conditions such as mange or bad hips, but we can't guarantee that previous generations did not have these conditions in their lines; therefore, we cannot guarantee these conditions will not show up in future litters. The opinion of the buyer's vet, during the initial examination is to be considered final regarding non-genetic illnesses and cannot jeopardize the seller if the puppy is misdiagnosed by the buyer's veterinarian regarding diagnosis or prognosis of the condition. All veterinarian expenses resulting from this inspection are the responsibility of the buyer. Puppy will be current on deworming and vaccinations depending on age.  No replacements will be given in cases of Parvo.

The buyer has five days upon the discovery and notification to the seller of the above mentioned life threatening condition to return the puppy to the seller. Failure to return the puppy to seller within five days is construed to reflect that the buyer is satisfied with the puppy's health and absolves the seller from any and all responsibility from that day forward.

 11.  Our warranty does not cover hips. There are a few reasons that we exclude hips from our coverage.

       1) Because of the angularity and frame structure of Bulldogges, a person could make the case that every bulldogge (in theory) is dysplastic to a degree. Much of what could be clinically classified as Dysplasia via X-ray, has no negative impact on the dog in terms of discomfort or physical limitations and is a result of breed characteristics that are specified in breed standards.
      2) There are factors other than genetics that contribute to Dysplasia. Including, but not limited to, the slope that a dogs lives on, the floor surface, the activities the dog participates in.

 12.  In the event of sudden death of a puppy that we sell within the first year, due to genetically related circumstances, we agree to replace the puppy with a puppy of comparable quality, as determined by the seller, as soon as a comparable puppy becomes available after the seller receives a certificate of death issued from a licensed veterinarian. The certificate of death must say explicitly that the cause of death was related to an identified genetic condition through a proper autopsy. The results of this certificate are to be evaluated by a veterinarian of the seller's choosing to confirm and authenticate the results. The findings and opinions of the seller's veterinarian are to be considered the final and ultimate opinion. All post-mortem procedures performed on the deceased puppy are the responsibility of the buyer. All transportation expenses related to the replacement puppy are the responsibility of the buyer.  We, the sellers do not agree to extend this policy to puppies that die in a non-sudden manner, related to a genetic condition. (I.e. from a condition that the buyer had become aware of previously but elected not to return the puppy to the breeder for a comparable replacement within the specified period of time).

We represent our puppies as being suitable as pets only. We make no claim that they are suited as breeding or show animals and we offer no compensation for circumstances or characteristics that limit the dog’s ability to be bred or competitively shown.

Although a conscious effort is made by the seller to breed and produce sound, healthy bulldogges, buyer should understand that due to the nature of this breed, bulldogges are predisposed to certain medical abnormalities and that a normal bulldogge may have one or two of these conditions during its lifetime.  The buyer is urged to research the breed and be familiar with all the health issues that could affect their bulldogge before entering into this or any agreement to purchase a bulldogge.  It is also very important to have a veterinarian knowledgeable about the bulldogge breed to use as your vet.

  13.  If it is found that I have in any way abused or neglected this animal either knowingly or unknowingly through physical violence, neglect, or lack of medical attention or any other number of ways abuse may be determined then I acknowledge that I have violated this contract and I agree that the dog automatically reverts ownership back to the seller and I will pay any and all legal costs and any and all fees that will be accrued by the breeder in their attempt to regain custody of the animal.  This includes but is not limited to any monies necessary to have the dog shipped back to the seller.

  14.  I the buyer agree that if for ANY reason I cannot or do not want to keep this animal that I will first contact the seller. The seller will have first option on the return of the animal at the buyer’s expense. I cannot “sell” the dog back to the seller at a profit.  The seller will not pay more than the original purchase price for the dog, and may take depreciation if the dog is older and will not be able to place the dog in a new home for the amount originally paid. The seller will be given a minimum of 90 days to pay the buyer. If I am returning the dog because I have violated this agreement, ownership automatically reverts back to the seller and they will not be responsible to pay any monies for the return of the animal, including but not limited to the original sale price and fees if any.  I will not under any circumstances place or sell the animal to a shelter, pound, animal control facility, humane society, pet store, or with any known breeder or person(s) that I know have intentions of breeding the animal, or any other like establishment without written approval from the breeder. Should I fail to abide by these conditions I agree that the dog automatically reverts ownership back to the seller and I will pay any and all legal costs and any and all fees that will be accrued by the breeder in their attempt to regain custody of the animal.  This includes but is not limited to any monies necessary to have the dog shipped back to the seller.

I attest that I am at least 18 years of age and that this is to be considered a legal and binding contract between me the buyer and the seller.

I agree to mail the signed and dated contract to the seller before the puppy is shipped or picked up.  I understand that no animal will be shipped until the signed original of this contract has been received by the seller.

Shot and worming records will accompany the dog.

Seller will provide temporary registration for dogs purchased.

THE BUYER AGREES:

 1.       Maintain up to date vaccinations, worming, and to keep the dog / puppy in humane conditions, providing proper food, water and shelter.

2.        PICTURES, PICTURES, PICTURES!!  We love to get pictures of pups we have sold.  Please send us pictures of your pup as often as you'd like.

The buyer and seller agree that this is the full and complete agreement that exists between the parties for the sale of this dog. Any modifications made to this agreement shall be made in writing or such shall not be effective.

Some helpful information to take home with your pup- Every line of dogs has some issues common to their breed.  The Olde English Bulldogge is a recreation of the Bulldogges of Olde and one of the reasons they were created were for the purpose of eliminating many of the health problems the English Bulldog has.  However, the dog is still a Bulldog and some problems may arise that are directly related to what we find most desirable about this breed.  Understand and accept that when you purchase a dog you may have to deal with some issues.  Stress- you must understand that it is very stressful for any puppy to leave his/her home and littermates.  Just like all of us, a puppy under stress is more susceptible to illnesses.  Their immune system is compromised while under stress.  There are millions of bacteria, fungi and depending on the environment, viruses all over.  If your puppy comes into contact with these while he/she is stressed, he/she will be less able to fight it off.  Be considerate of this factor, keep your puppy quiet and wait until he knows you and is over his/her stressful time to expose him/her to a new and exciting (and usually germ and virus friendly) atmosphere.  Like going to the pet store to choose a new toy, or having all your family or friends over to see him/her.  Give your pup time to adjust and keep him/her away from stress as much as possible the first week or so.  Hold your puppy in your lap at the vet.  Like hospitals where sick people are, vet offices see sick dogs just about every day.  It is normal after bringing home your new pup for it to take a few days for them to act like themselves again.  We suggest that you do not expose your new puppy to new things until you have had him/her for at least a week or more.    Puppies are like human babies.  Babies seem to catch every cold going around.  This is because they are so new to the world and their immune systems need to be exposed to things to become stronger, the same goes for puppies.

Puppies are current on their vaccinations when they leave Brickhouse Bullies.  You will need to give several more when the puppy gets a bit older.  Talk with your vet about what is appropriate for your area and your pup.
